Presidential Hopeful Richardson To Visit Denver
(AP) DENVER
New Mexico governor and presidential hopeful Bill Richardson will visit Denver next week to launch his campaign in Colorado.
Richardson has formed a presidential exploratory committee, the first step in an official run for the Democratic nomination.
Richardson is in his second term as New Mexico's governor. He represented New Mexico in the U.S. House of Representatives for 15 years and served as the United States ambassador to the United Nations. He's also served as the U.S. Secretary of Energy.
Richardson is scheduled to arrive in Denver on Wednesday to announce the formation of his Colorado campaign team. He hopes to raise more than $100,000 at the fundraiser.
